Michael Jurenka Elected to SOWB Board
Michael Jurenka, a tax accountant with Clark Nuber, was elected to the Board of the Seattle Officials – Women’s Basketball Association (SOWB) for a two year term. The SOWB’s purpose, as a not-for-profit service organization, is to further the interest of sports for women by providing qualified basketball officials to member schools and recreational leagues; interpreting rules to players, coaches, instructors, and officials; and providing opportunities for training for officials. Jurenka is also a certified basketball official for the Washington Officials Association (WOA) which provides officials to WIAA sanctioned events.
“I am honored to have been elected to the SOWB board and look forward to working with the executive board and association members to accomplish their goals,” said Jurenka. “I also look forward to helping the association recruit new members and to continue providing high quality basketball officials to the Puget Sound area schools and recreational leagues.”
